The shower is where bathroom remodels fail years later, and it is almost always the waterproofing. On a DH Homes bathroom the shower or tub area is torn out to the framing, the framing and subfloor are checked and repaired, the walls get proper backer and a waterproofing system, and only then does the tile go on. That part nobody sees is the part we spend the most time on.
We build walk-in showers with benches and niches, wet rooms that pair a freestanding tub with a glass-walled shower, and standard tub and shower alcoves. Fixtures are your choice, from the matte black rain head and body sprays on this page to chrome or brushed nickel.

Tear out and repair
Removing the old tub or shower, checking framing and subfloor, and replacing what is damaged.
Waterproofing
Proper backer board, a waterproofing membrane, and a sloped pan or curbless entry, tested before tile.
Tile and glass
Wall and floor tile, niches, benches, and frameless or framed glass panels and doors.
Fixtures
Rain heads, handhelds, body sprays, tub fillers, and valves, installed in coordination with the plumber.

Can you convert my tub to a walk-in shower?
Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are common, especially in hall baths. We frame the new curb or curbless entry, waterproof, tile, and add glass.
Do you install freestanding tubs?
Yes. The wet room on this page has a freestanding oval tub with a wall-mounted filler next to a glass shower. Floor structure and drain location are checked during design.
How do I know the shower will not leak?
The waterproofing is done as a system and tested before tile goes on, and the whole project carries a 1 year warranty on all parts and labor.
