Framing in Boise, Idaho
Wall removals, headers, and new structure handled in house by the crew running your project.
Framing, the DH Homes way
Framing is where a remodel either goes smoothly or falls behind. Most remodelers sub it out and wait. At DH Homes the framing is done by the same crew that will hang the drywall, set the cabinets, and run the trim, so the wall comes down and the header goes in on our schedule, and the framer already knows where every cabinet will land.
That covers the structural work inside a remodel, like removing a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and living room, and the full framing of a home addition from the floor system to the roof. The owners ran a construction and restoration company for 14 years before DH Homes, and that structural background is part of every project.

Framing questions, answered.
The things Boise homeowners ask us most about this part of a project. More on the FAQ page.
Can you tell if a wall is load-bearing?
Yes. We check the framing, the direction of the joists, and what is above the wall. If it is bearing, we design the header and posts to carry the load and get it inspected.
Do you pull permits for structural work?
Yes. Structural changes are permitted and inspected as part of the project.
Do you frame additions or just interior changes?
Both. The vaulted master bedroom addition on this page, with its butternut beams, was framed by our crew as part of a 1,200 square foot addition in Boise.
