Interior painting, the DH Homes way
Paint is the last thing that happens in a remodel and the first thing you see. On a DH Homes project it is done by our own crew, after the drywall is patched and the trim is in, and before we call the room finished. That means the wall color is chosen against the real cabinets and the real counter, in the real light, not against a chip at the store.
Every kitchen and bathroom we remodel includes paint, from repairing the drywall where old cabinets came down to the final coat on walls, ceiling, and trim. If the rest of the house needs to be tied in so the new room does not stop at the doorway, we do that too.

Patching and prep
Repairing drywall where cabinets, backsplash, and fixtures came out, sanding, and priming.
Walls and ceilings
Two finish coats in the sheen that suits the room, with a bathroom-rated finish where there is moisture.
Trim and doors
Base, casing, crown, and doors painted after installation for a clean, uniform finish.
Color coordination
Colors chosen against your actual cabinets, counters, and flooring so the whole room agrees.

Do you paint rooms that are not part of a remodel?
Our painting is part of our remodel work. If you need only a few rooms painted, a painting contractor will be faster and cheaper. If you are remodeling a kitchen and want the adjoining living room repainted to match, that is exactly what we do.
Do you paint the cabinets?
Our cabinets are finished in the shop before they are installed, so the finish is even and fully cured. We do not recommend painting existing cabinets on site as a substitute for new ones; the finish rarely holds up in a kitchen.
Who picks the colors?
You do, with our input. We will bring samples and paint test patches on the actual wall next to the cabinets so you can see them in your light.
