DH Homes Inc is owned and run by Chris and Denise Hapner out of a shop in Boise. The company is six years old. Before that, Chris and Denise spent 14 years running a construction and restoration company, which is the kind of work where you learn what is behind the walls and what happens when it is done wrong.
That background is why DH Homes works the way it does. Framing, drywall, flooring, trim, and paint are done by our own crew. Cabinets are built in our own shop. When a wall comes down or a subfloor turns out to be rotted, the people standing in your kitchen have fixed that problem many times before, and they do not have to call someone else to handle it.
We are a small company on purpose. Chris is on the job, not in an office across town, and the crew that starts your project is the crew that finishes it.
Three things most remodelers cannot say.
We build the cabinets.
Every cabinet and vanity we install is built in our shop in Boise, sized to your room. Nothing is sourced out, and the fit shows it. This is our biggest niche and the reason most clients find us.
One crew does the work.
Framing, drywall, flooring, cabinet install, finish carpentry, and paint are all our people. The schedule is ours to keep, and there is one number to call.
You see it before we build it.
Layouts and renderings come before demolition on every project. You approve the kitchen on screen, and the same crew builds exactly that.
Custom is the whole business, not an upgrade.
Plenty of remodelers offer "custom" cabinets that are semi-custom catalog boxes with a few extra sizes. Ours are built from scratch in the shop: flat-panel, shaker, or raised-panel, painted or stained, in any dimension the room needs. Recent kitchens have gone out in black flat-panel with brass pulls, grey flat-panel, white shaker, and stained walnut.
Custom work is also where the odd requests go. If you want cabinets that hide something, a built-in that wraps a fireplace, a wine nook with a diamond rack, or artwork built into the wall, this is the shop that says yes and figures out how.
